THE VALENTINE THEATRE

Toledo Opera productions (excluding the
Opera Gala) are staged at the Valentine Theatre, which is located
on Superior Street between Jackson and Adams Streets in downtown
Toledo.
Parking
There is paid parking directly across the street from the theatre
on Superior Street. There are also several parking garages
within a few blocks of the theatre. (Limited on-street parking
is available in the vicinity of the theatre; on-street parking
is free weekdays after 5 and on the weekends.)
From the North (Ann Arbor)
- Take Rte. 23 South to I-475 East to I-75
south through Toledo
- Follow I-75 to the downtown exit (exit
202A); the ramp turns into Indiana Avenue, then dead-ends
at Washington Street.
- Turn right onto Washington Street and
follow it to Erie Street. Turn left onto Erie and follow
it to Adams Street. Turn right on Adams and go two blocks
to Superior Street. Turn left on Superior; the theatre will
be on your right.
From the North (Detroit)
- Take I-75 South to the downtown Toledo
exit (exit 202A); the ramp turns into Indiana Avenue, then
dead-ends at Washington Street.
- Turn right onto Washington Street and
follow it to Erie Street. Turn left onto Erie and follow
it to Adams Street. Turn right on Adams and go two blocks
to Superior Street. Turn left on Superior; the theatre will
be on your right.
From the East (Cleveland) or West
(Indiana, Illinois)
- Take the Ohio Turnpike to exit 64 at
Perrysburg.
- Follow the signs to I-75 North.
- Take I-75 North to Toledo. Cross the
Maumee River and get off at the downtown exit (201B).
- As you exit, watch for merging traffic
on your right. Move to the right lane. At the bottom of the
ramp is a traffic light; go to the left through the intersection,
which puts you on Erie Street.
- Follow Erie Street to Adams Street and
turn right onto Adams.
- Stay on Adams for a couple blocks until
you get to Superior Street.
- Turn left on Superior Street; the theater
is on your right.
From the South (Bowling Green)
- Take I-75 North past Perrysburg and on
into Toledo.
- Take I-75 North to Toledo. Cross the
Maumee River and get off at the downtown exit (201B).
- As you exit, watch for merging traffic
on your right. At the bottom of the ramp is a traffic light;
go to the left through the intersection, which puts you on
Erie Street.
- Follow Erie Street to Adams Street and
turn right onto Adams.
- Stay on Adams for a couple blocks until
you get to Superior Street.
