Student Night at the Opera
Introduce your students to opera, one of the fastest growing forms of entertainment today. In addition to its entertainment value, Student Night at the Opera is a powerful learning opportunity for students interested in music, theater, history, foreign languages and human nature. Maximize your students’ learning by using our Teachers’ Guides for each of this season’s operas. Music videos combining words, music and images are nothing new – opera has been doing that for 400 years! Add history, great stories, different languages and cultures and you have a fantastic experience for students and their teachers. Group reservations and payment in advance are necessary. Seating is determined by order of payment received.

“The opera was fantastic – I thank you and all of Toledo Opera for offering this opportunity to the students at an affordable price. The voices, the costumes, the scenery, special effects, the orchestra (as always) were just wonderful…I continue to be pleased and amazed at the student attitude toward attending an opera – and even on a Friday night in May. I also received one of those "priceless paychecks" as an educator to have a former student on stage in the chorus who had attended student night when he was in school at PCHS…Please pass on my gratitude to the directors, the board, and the sponsors for their continued support to allow students to experience opera.”
– Gregory Fox, Choir Director, Port Clinton High School, OH
