Three fabulous homes await you and your guests on this river-centric progressive dinner! First, Opera board member Barbara Steele opens her gorgeous brick Tudor mansion in Hickory Hill for your viewing as you enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres overlooking the river in her beautiful gardens. Make sure and check out her gourmet kitchen and Aga cooker! Next travel a few hundred yards down East River Road to the Williams compound for your main course at board member Serena Williams’ home. Another gourmet kitchen awaits your viewing in this eclectic converted barn, full of interesting décor and art. Enjoy a delicious dessert hosted by Board member and bon vivant Celso Antiporda and his wife Lea at their riverfront home amongst tranquil white pines, hickories, and tall honey locusts. The soaring ceilings and Arts and Crafts style will compete for your attention with the expansive view of the Maumee River where herons, geese and ducks are frequent visitors. This dinner is perfect for those who enjoy gourmet food along with an introduction to three of Perrysburg’s finest homes!

2. River Road Progressive Dinner for 12

For this casual but very gourmet dinner, start with cocktails and appetizers on the huge deck at the home of Steve and Kim Hanson on River Road. Their "Lodge on the River" has gorgeous views and you can enjoy Kim's fabulous hors d'oeuvres while gazing at the Maumee. You will then proceed to Ann Sanford's house on Midland Avenue for your main course. Ann may whip up something she learned to cook in Julia Child's kitchen in Provence, or some beef from her family farm, but you can bet it will be wonderful and served with delicious wines to match. Then you will stroll down River Road to John and Deborah Joslin's for desserts and a tour of this 1915 mansion with gardens fit for a magazine spread.
