Progressive Party for 8
Three fabulous homes await you and your guests on this river-centric
progressive dinner! First, Opera board member Barbara Steele
opens her gorgeous brick Tudor mansion in Hickory Hill for
your viewing as you enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres
overlooking the river in her beautiful gardens. Make sure and
check out her gourmet kitchen and Aga cooker! Next travel a
few hundred yards down East River Road to the Williams compound
for your main course at board member Serena Williams’ home.
Another gourmet kitchen awaits your viewing in this eclectic
converted barn, full of interesting décor and art. Enjoy
a delicious dessert hosted by Board member and bon vivant Celso
Antiporda and his wife Lea at their riverfront home amongst
tranquil white pines, hickories, and tall honey locusts. The
soaring ceilings and Arts and Crafts style will compete for
your attention with the expansive view of the Maumee River
where herons, geese and ducks are frequent visitors. This dinner
is perfect for those who enjoy gourmet food along with an introduction
to three of Perrysburg’s finest homes!

2. River
Road Progressive Dinner for 12
For this casual but very gourmet dinner,
start with cocktails and appetizers on the huge deck at the
home of Steve and Kim Hanson on River Road. Their "Lodge
on the River" has
gorgeous views and you can enjoy Kim's fabulous hors d'oeuvres
while gazing at the Maumee. You will then proceed to Ann Sanford's
house on Midland Avenue for your main course. Ann may whip
up something she learned to cook in Julia Child's kitchen in
Provence, or some beef from her family farm, but you
can bet it will be wonderful and served with delicious wines
to match. Then you will stroll down River Road to John
and Deborah Joslin's for desserts and a tour of this 1915 mansion
with gardens fit for a magazine spread.

Start your evening at the home of

Cauffiel in a classic vintage car where a scrumptious dinner
awaits you with wines selected by sommelier Dominque Simon
and music selected by Renay Conlin. End your evening
with a sinfully decadent dessert prepared for you at the
home of Renay Conlin, General and Artistic Director of Toledo
Opera and Thomas Conlin Grammy award-winning conductor.
