Toledo Opera Presents The Fifth Annual “Blame the Champagne!” Event, All Aboard The Opera Express Friday, May 5, 2006 / 7:00 p.m., Grand Lobby at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza, Hosted by the Toledo Opera Primo Divos, An Evening of Fine Wine and Entertainment to Benefit Toledo Opera (Toledo, Ohio, April 10, 2006) – Dust off your dancing shoes while we strike up the band! Get ready to board the Toledo Opera Express for its fifth annual Blame the Champagne! fundraising event on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. This year’s event will be held in the Grand Lobby at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza located at 415 Emerald Avenue in downtown Toledo. The historic venue, once Ohio’s busiest passenger rail hub, is maintained in the original artistic splendor that decorated it when it was built at the height of train travel. Attendees will enjoy a tantalizing evening of wine and cheese
sampling and socializing, dining car grazing, big band dancing
to a 17-piece orchestra and lots of excitement. The evening will
also include a silent and live auction with items that focus on
rare and vintage bottles of wine, trips to local and distant vineyards,
gourmet food baskets and other fanciful surprises. A cash bar will
be available. |
