Blame the Champagne, May 12, 2007

What: The sixth annual Blame the Champagne event benefiting Toledo Opera will take place in the Showroom of Ballas Buick GMC and take on a Motown theme. The evening will offer a wine tasting and gourmet grazing buffet prepared by Fifi’s. We’ll roll out the shiny, new Buicks from their glittering display and roll in a dance floor so come prepared to dance to your favorite songs from the 60’s and early 70’s. A silent auction will focus on rare and vintage bottles of wine, sports packages and home items and the live auction will offer trips to local and distant vineyards, and other travel destinations. Tickets begin at $75 per person. A $150 ticket with open bar and reserved seating is also available. Sponsorships with program recognition and tickets to entertain clients or friends begin at $600.

When: Saturday, May 12 2007, 7:00 p.m. to 11:00

Where: George Ballas Buick GMC on the Central Avenue Strip, Toledo.

Toledo Opera: Toledo Opera performances are produced in Toledo with principal singers who have performed in the major opera houses of the world. The company also manages an extensive education and outreach program. That Toledo is home to a world-class, professional opera company — now in its fifth decade of service to the community — is a tribute to the area’s realization of the vital economic and cultural importance of the arts in general, and Toledo Opera in particular. Proceeds from Blame the Champagne provide funding to support the artistic excellence that is the hallmark of Toledo Opera.

Primo Divos is a member club dedicated to celebrating Toledo Opera productions through a variety of social and educational events.
