Toledo
Opera Chorus Auditions
Toledo Opera announces auditions for choristers for upcoming events
including an all-Wagner Concert in February, and a fully staged production
of Pagliacci in April.
A love of singing and performing is essential. Applicants should
have some choral experience. Acting experience is desirable but not
required. Members of the opera chorus are occasionally offered solo
roles in addition to their ensemble singing.
To schedule an audition or for more information, singers should
contact Renay Conlin,
General and Artistic Director, at 419-255-7464 after January 1, or
at rconlin@toledoopera.org.
Toledo Opera performs at the Valentine Theatre and the Toledo Museum
of Art Peristyle. Recent productions include Faust and Mozart’s The
Marriage of Figaro. November performances of Madama Butterfly were
sold-out. Chorusmaster is Dr. Stephen Hodge, Director of Choral Activities
at the University of Toledo.
