We understand that the Toledo Opera experience is more than just the performance. It includes travel, parking, tickets, concessions, and more. We have compiled resources below to help you make the most of your time with us. 

Travel

The Valentine Theatre (400 N. Superior Street, Toledo, OH 43604) is located at the heart of Downtown Toledo.

If you are coming from I-75 Northbound,

  • Take the Downtown Toledo/Washington Street Exit.
  • Turn left at light and go North on 14th Street to Adams Street (5 blocks).
  • Turn right on Adams Street to Superior Street (2 blocks). The Valentine Theatre is located on the Northeast corner.

If you are coming from I-75 Southbound,

  • Take the Washington Street/Downtown Toledo Exit.
  • Go North (straight ahead) on Erie Street to Adams Street (5 blocks).
  • Turn right on Adams Street to Superior Street (2 blocks). The Valentine Theatre is located on the Northeast corner.

Parking

There is ample parking within blocks of the Valentine Theatre. A well-lit surface lot is available across Superior Street from the Valentine. Covered parking garages are also available. The Downtown Parking Authority operates two garages—one on Superior Street south of Adams Street and the second on Superior Street north of Jackson Street (The Vistula Garage). Another indoor parking garage is located on St. Clair Street (one block east of the Valentine Theatre) in the Four SeaGate Building. Special Event rates for Valentine shows will be in effect at these lots. Free parking is available at meters on the street after 6 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.

Drop-off/Pick-up and Accessibility

A convenient, wheelchair-accessible drop-off area is located right off of N. Superior Street at the front entrance of the Valentine Theatre. Handicapped parking spots are also located near the front entrance on the street. The Valentine boasts an an easy-to-access elevator, near the main entrance, that can take you to all floors of the building. Please call the Toledo Opera box office at 419.255.7464 in advance and let us know if you need any arrangements or seating accommodations. We are happy to help!

We are also proud to provide services for the visually-impaired and hearing-impaired, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Ohio law. Please notify our box office of your need for an audio describer, sign language interpreter, or any other assistive service when you place your ticket order.

What to Expect

When you enter the Valentine Theatre through the main entrance off of N. Superior Street, the ticket office will greet you to your right. You can purchase tickets at the window or pick up your reserved/will call tickets. Our front of house staff and ushers will check your tickets and welcome you into the grand lobby of the Valentine. Restrooms are located downstairs or upstairs and can be reached by grand staircase or the Valentine's easy-to-access elevator. Drinks and concessions are located on the main floor in the Grand and Historic lobbies.
