Toledo Opera will hold “Operatunity Day,” a one-day campaign to raise $20,000 on November 2, 2023. Contributions made throughout Operatunity Day will support mainstage productions, youth opera education, and community outreach programs for the 2023-24 season. Operatunity Day will conclude with Triviata Night – a trivia event at The Blarney Irish Pub (601 Monroe Street, Toledo, OH 43604) beginning at 6 p.m.
Triviata Night will be hosted by local personality and trivia host Guy in the 419 and will feature a combination of general trivia as well as opera trivia. Prizes for Triviata Night include gift certificates, with the grand prize being a walk on role in Toledo Opera’s spring production of Ragtime. Tickets to Triviata are $25 for individuals and $100 for teams of 4 or more. Tickets can be purchased at toledoopera.org.
As a part of Operatunity Day and Triviata Night, Guy in the 419 has provided Toledo Opera with Kazooby discount booklets to sell with 50% of the proceeds being donated to Toledo Opera. Kazooby coupon booklets can be purchased for $25 a piece and feature a variety of discounts and deals with local Toledo restaurants and businesses. “This whole day is about having fun and lifting up opera in the Toledo cultural arts community,” shared Toledo Opera Executive Director Suzanne Rorick. “Not only are we raising support for Toledo Opera but we are shining a light on our audience of supporters.”
