Lisa Marie Rogali & Brendan Boyle Lead Toledo Opera’s ‘Carmen’

Toledo Opera will present Georges Bizet’s “Carmen” on Oct. 10 and 12, 2025.

The opera will be performed at the Valentine Theatre and will showcase a new production by Jeffrey Buchman featuring choreography by Rosa Mercedes.

“Carmen” will be conducted by Adam Turner and will star Lisa Marie Rogali as Carmen, Brendan Boyle as Don José, Joshua Jeremiah as Escamillo, and Sarah Rachel Bacani as Micaëla.

The cast is rounded by baritone Jason Budd as Zuniga, Sara Mortensen as Frasquita, Danielle Casós as Mercédès, Brady DelVecchio as El Remendado, Rick Hale as El Dancaïro, and Robbie Raso as Moralès.

In a statement, Toledo Opera General Director James M. Norman said, “With this new production of Carmen, we’re creating something uniquely ‘Toledo.'
