Toledo Opera has launched its “Scene Setters” Initiative, a new program aimed at building greater anticipation for its upcoming productions.
The inaugural group will spotlight “Carmen.” The program will feature local arts enthusiasts, influencers, and tastemakers, all of whom will attend dress rehearsals of Toledo Opera productions and share their experiences with their networks.
The Scene Setters for “Carmen” include Libby Cassidy, Alex Huffaker, Na’Kayla James, Heather Klatt, Kendahl Plank, Christine Senack, Rhonda Sewell, India Sherman, and Riley Runnells.
“With Scene Setters, we’re inviting our community to be part of the story of Toledo Opera,” said Toledo Opera General Director James M. Norman, per an official press release. “Opera has always been about harmony – voices coming together to create something greater – and this program gives our friends and neighbors a chance to join in that spirit. By sharing their voices and spreading the word, they help us build excitement and bring the magic of opera to even more people across our region.”
