Toledo Opera Announces Scalia/Ginsburg in April 2021, Revising Current Season Schedule

Toledo Opera today announced a revised schedule for the remainder of its current 2020-2021 performance season: on April 16, 17, and 18, 2021, the Opera will stage Scalia/Ginsburg, Derrick Wang’s critically-acclaimed 2015 opera about the relationship between the two Supreme Court justices, on a double bill with the comedic, court-themed Gilbert and Sullivan one-act, Trial By Jury.

Toledo Opera Launches Free Citywide Pop-up Performance Series, “Opera Outdoors”

The Toledo Opera announced the launch of Opera Outdoors, a new series of pop-up live performances that will take place at outdoor commercial, recreational, and community hubs across Toledo this fall, beginning September 12.

The series will feature the Opera’s four 2020-21 Resident Artists - chosen from an international pool of more than 150 applicants for a one-year residency in Toledo - performing iconic vocal selections from the classical repertoire, along with musical theater, jazz, and other American standards.  Venues include the Toledo Farmers’ Market, the Toledo Zoo, and public-housing complexes.
