Chorus Auditions 2026-2027

Toledo Opera will hold chorus auditions (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass) for the following operas: Verdi's Aida (October 16 and 18, 2026 ) and Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore (February 19 and 21, 2027) on Saturday, May 30, 2026 between 11:00am and 5:00pm, and Sunday, May 31, between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. These auditions will be held at the Toledo Opera offices, 425 Jefferson Ave. Suite 601, in downtown Toledo. A pianist will be provided. Interested singers should plan to perform one memorized piece of music for the audition, in Italian or English, if possible.

Aida: Music rehearsals will being on Sunday, July 19, 5-7 pm, and run weekly through September 27. Staging rehearsals begin September 28.
H.M.S. Pinafore: Music rehearsals will run Sundays, November 22 - December 13, January 10 - 31. Staging rehearsals begin February 1.
