A Story of Love and Peril

Set against the backdrop of a war-torn Rome, Tosca follows the heart-wrenching story of Floria Tosca, a celebrated opera singer, and her love for the painter Cavaradossi. Their romance faces a dangerous threat when the tyrannical police chief, Scarpia, becomes obsessed with Tosca and will stop at nothing to possess her. Will love prevail in this face of danger and deceit?

This production boasts a powerhouse team led by conductor Geoffrey McDonald and stage director Jeffrey Buchman, who have brought us unforgettable performances like Carmen, La Bohème, and Il Trovatore.

Meet the Stars

• Soprano Lindsey Anderson makes her debut as the fiery Tosca, known for her powerful voice and captivating stage presence.

• Tenor Brendan Boyle, a Toledo Opera favorite, takes on the role of Cavaradossi.

• Acclaimed baritone Corey Crider returns as the villainous Scarpia, a role he has mastered.

Rounding out the cast is a talented ensemble of singers, including Toledo Opera Resident Artists, bringing their impressive voices to the stage.

• Student Rush tickets will be available for Tosca on Friday, October 18 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, October 20 at 2:00 pm. Student Rush tickets are $20 cash only with a valid Student ID.
