The Toledo Opera will host an outdoor series at Wildwood Preserve Metropark this spring for their Opera ‘Round Town' performances, formerly known as Opera Outdoors.

The rebranding of the series comes from a partnership with iHeartMedia Inc. 'Opera 'Round Town' is aimed to engage with the community by offering performances at a variety of local spaces.

Beginning May 7, the spring performances will feature the Opera’s 2024-2025 cohort of resident artists, selected from an worldwide pool of more than 150 applicants.

Toledo Opera General Director James M. Norman, expressed how Opera ‘Round Town represents a step in making opera open to the public: “With Opera ‘Round Town, we’re bringing the power and beauty of live opera directly into the heart of our community – at the Metroparks and beyond. Thanks to the generous support of iHeart Media, this rebranded series makes opera more accessible, more vibrant, and more connected to the region we serve.”
