Serving over 23,000 students in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan each year, we present fun and engaging programs that introduce and immerse participants of all ages in riveting stories, singing, acting, and movement—all of the components that make up the great art form of opera.
Toledo Opera is more than the mainstage, we bring the magic of opera directly to our community through free and low-cost events, from lively Opera ‘Round Town performances to the intimate charm of Opera Cabaret. Our companion programming further enriches the experience, offering curated events that explore the stories, themes, and music of each production. Whether it’s a pop-up concert or a thought-provoking panel, Toledo Opera creates fun, accessible, and engaging ways for everyone to connect with the art form.
Our resident artists are selected from a national pool of candidates for a one to two year residency with our company. Resident artists perform in mainstage productions, community events, and educational programs, such as Opera on Wheels, which tours schools across our region.
